Choirs, orchestras, solos and duos, chamber groups and bands were invited to take part in this very special event as part of the St John's, Smith Square Open House the ambition being is to have continuous music making from 10.00am Saturday 17 September through to 10.00am Sunday 18 September.
We are delighted to advise that the North Downs Community Orchestra has been selected for the 11:00hrs to 11:30 hrs slot on Saturday 17th September playing the repertoire we have been rehearsing since our birth in March 2016. The North Downs Community Orchestra is an orchestra of fun and opportunity giving everyone the chance to play in our Symphony Orchestra - no grades required and no auditions held.
A wonderful mix of fun friendly people from all walks of life, for many of our members this will be their first public performance so please do come along and show your encouragement support for these amazing fun musicians, our wonderful conductor Shona Fenion and the causes promoted and supported by St John's Smith Square.
All proceeds go towards community outreach projects as part of the St John's Young Artists’ Scheme. Come along and support our wonderful fun orchestra and this great cause too.
