Trainee conductors try out their skills...and instrumentalists produced sounds of music
Our new pack of parts for The Sound of Music has 12 different tunes. We managed to make our first ever way through the complete piece using a selection of volunteer trainee conductors from our midst.

There wasn't a proper baton between us, so various alternatives had been brought along and were all put to good use. A magic wand, a knitting needle, a clarinet cleaning brush and a flute cleaning stick all proved viable alternatives to the real thing.
Thank you members, for such a fun evening! Perhaps we should book up introduction to conducting workshop part 2...
